Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan reviews fund utilisation under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan held a detailed review meeting on fund release and utilisation under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, with a focus on making Samagra Shiksha 3.0 more efficient, transparent and outcome-oriented.

In a social media post, Union Minister said that an integrated approach through the convergence of key schemes, including Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), PM-POSHAN (Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman), ULLAS (Understanding of Lifelong Learning for All in Society), PM-SHRI (Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India) and other flagship programmes, will be undertaken from this year. He said this will ensure greater coordination and impact across the school education ecosystem.

During the meeting yesterday, participants also discussed strengthening Centre-State engagement while upholding the spirit of cooperative federalism.

Mr Pradhan said there will be a renewed focus on the effective implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, with special emphasis on innovation, nutrition, skill development, sports and arts among students.

He added that these efforts will play a pivotal role in nurturing empowered learners and building the human capital required for Viksit Bharat 2047.
