The Election Commission of India has revised the schedule for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Maharashtra, with the final publication of the revised electoral roll now scheduled for November 16, 2026.
According to the revised schedule, the qualifying date for the electoral roll remains October 1, 2026, while the deadline for filing claims and objections has been extended to October 12 from September 30.
The final roll was earlier scheduled to be published on November 4. The period for issuing notices and disposing of claims and objections will continue from August 31 to November 10, according to the ECI directive.
