External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar today met his Mongolian counterpart, Battsetseg Batmunkh in Ulaanbaatar. In a social media post, Dr Jaishankar said that the discussions reflected the warmth, strength and promise of the India-Mongolia Strategic Partnership.
The two leaders reviewed the progress in bilateral cooperation in development projects, capacity building, culture, education, security and multilateral fora. During the meeting, both sides also talked about opportunities in mining, clean energy and agro-processing.
In his second leg of the visit, Mr. Jaishankar will visit South Korea. During the visit, the Minister will hold discussions with Foreign Minister Cho Hyun. He will also deliver the keynote speech at the Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity in Jeju on Thursday.
