External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar held talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Mumbai this afternoon. They shared views on further advancement of India-US ties, focusing on trade, energy, technology, defence and people-to-people ties. Dr Jaishankar said in a social media post that they also exchanged views on regional developments.
The US Secretary of State arrived in Mumbai earlier today. He was received by Maharashtra government’s Culture Minister, Ashish Shelar at the airport. This is Secretary Rubio’s second visit to India. External Affairs Ministry said that the visit provides an opportunity to further advance cooperation across the various pillars of the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.
