EAM S Jaishankar co-chairs 19th India-Vietnam Joint Commission Meeting with Vietnamese counterpart in New Delhi

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar today co-chaired the 19th India – Vietnam Joint Commission Meeting with his Vietnamese counterpart Lê Hoài Trung in New Delhi. In a social media post, Dr Jaishankar said that during the outcome-orientated meeting, they discussed ways of strengthening India-Vietnam political, defence and security cooperation and increased supply of Made-in-India defence articles.
 
They also held constructive discussions on trade, investment and supply chains and expanded market access for marine, agricultural and pharmaceutical products of both nations. Further, they also discussed deepening energy cooperation, heritage conservation and cultural projects.  Vietnam is a key partner of India’s Look East, ASEAN, Indo Pacific, MAHASAGAR and Global South policies.
