The festive spirit of Durga Puja has reached a crescendo across Odisha, as thousands of devotees gather at temples and elaborately decorated pandals to offer prayers to Maa Durga. From the early morning hours, the air has resonated with devotional chants, the rhythmic beats of traditional drums and the sound of conch shells, creating an atmosphere of deep faith and spiritual fervour.

While special Maha Ashtami rituals are being performed at ‘Shakti Peethas’ across the state, Maha Saptami Puja is underway at Durga Puja pandals, where priests are conducting traditional ceremonies and devotees are seeking the blessings of the Divine Mother.

In Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, magnificent decorations, artistic installations and dazzling illuminations have added grandeur to the celebrations. Fairs and festive gatherings are also attracting people of all ages.
