Russia has said that at least five people were killed and 18 others injured after a drone strike hit a market in Tokmak in the Zaporizhzhia region today. Zaporizhzhia region Governor Evgeny Balitsky said the casualties are preliminary as rescue operations continue.
According to authorities, the strike targeted civilians shopping at the market, and the injured have been shifted to a local hospital. Separately, officials in Russia’s Belgorod region said an overnight missile strike killed one woman and injured another. The Zaporizhzhia region remains a disputed region, claimed by both Russia and Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict.
