Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, today said the dream of a drug-free India can be realised only through active public participation and the leadership of the youth. He was addressing a programme at Amrita Hospital in Faridabad after the national launch of the Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

 

Dr. Mandaviya described the 100-week campaign as a nationwide people’s movement aimed at mobilising the youth for nation-building. He said healthy, aware and empowered young people are central to achieving the vision of a developed India.

 

The Minister said the MY Bharat platform has connected more than two crore and 24 lakh youth with nation-building initiatives. He added that, in collaboration with spiritual organisations, youth groups and de-addiction experts, a comprehensive 100-week action plan has been prepared to strengthen the campaign against substance abuse, with several spiritual organisations across the country joining the initiative.
