A high-calibre bomb was successfully tested today at the Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL)-a facility of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO)-located in Ramgarh in the Panchkula district of Haryana. The test was conducted amidst comprehensive security arrangements and under the supervision of senior officials from the Air Force.
According to officials, the trial was successful and was executed in strict adherence to established safety protocols.
In view of the scheduled test, TBRL, the District Administration, and the Police Administration had already issued a high alert. As part of the security protocol, special surveillance was maintained in the surrounding areas.
It was anticipated that bomb fragments could fly up to a distance of 1.5 kilometres during the trial. A radius of 2 kilometres was declared a sensitive zone from a security perspective. The villages of Bhanu and Billa were issued specific instructions to exercise extreme caution.
