The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced that it will operate 20 additional train trips on weekdays from today following the implementation of GRAP-I in Delhi. The DMRC will also intensify anti-pollution measures at its construction sites and surrounding areas across Delhi to help curb dust and pollution.

DMRC stated that this decision aims to encourage more people to use public transport instead of their personal vehicles. DMRC said that in total, over 250 anti-smog guns and mist guns have been installed at the construction sites, stations and office buildings to decrease dust levels. Meanwhile, DMRC’s Environment Department conducts daily inspections to ensure compliance with all environmental norms.
