Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Jitendra Singh today launched Nation-wide Digital Life Certificate Campaign 5.0 in New Delhi. Addressing the media, Dr. Singh described the campaign as an important initiative to ensure ease of living for senior citizens. Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat, he said every citizen, including senior citizens, has an important role in nation-building. He emphasised the need to ensure their health, financial security and well-being so that they can continue contributing to society. Dr. Singh stated that the initiative seeks to relieve elderly pensioners of the hassle of visiting banks and government offices to submit their life certificates.. He also highlighted pension reforms, including Pension Adalats and the removal of outdated rules to make pension services simpler and more accessible.
