Director General of Akashvani Rajeev Kumar Jain today inspected border area transmissions in Punjab’s Jalandhar and Amritsar and reviewed working of both these stations and of the Union Territory of Chandigarh as well. He also reviewed the ongoing developmental projects of Akashvani in Punjab.
Appreciating the officers and staff for their efforts in uninterrupted broadcasting and providing infotainment as per the norms of the National broadcaster, he also gave necessary instructions for smooth running of the stations.
Earlier, he was welcomed by the Deputy Director General (Engineering), Ranjeet Meena at Jalandhar station along with Progamme and News Head besides other officers and staff. He also planted a sapling at Akashvani Station Jalandhar.
During evening, Mr. Jain visited Sachkhand Shri Harimandir Sahib in Amritsar and paid obeisance. He also reviewed the arrangements made for the flawless relay of Shabad Kirtan from the Golden Temple twice a day and broadcast of Gurbani Vichar programme in the evening.
