Dept of Telecommunications & ITU organise Robotics for Good Youth Challenge India at IMC

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT), under the Ministry of Communications, in collaboration with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) today jointly organised the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge India 2026-2027, at India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 in New Delhi. Around 300 students from 13 States and Union Territories showcased their creativity, innovation and problem-solving skills through robotics, bringing technology, collaboration and the spirit of innovation to the forefront.
 
Earlier, DoT hosted the Ministerial Programme at the Summit, under the theme “Scale Without Boundaries: Investing in the Next Billion Digital Connections.” Deliberations on strategies to expand meaningful digital connectivity and accelerate investment in next-generation digital infrastructure were also held during the programme. The event highlighted the importance of stronger collaboration among governments, industry and international organisations to mobilise investment, strengthen enabling policy frameworks and expand affordable, reliable, resilient and inclusive digital connectivity.
 
Asia’s largest Tech Fest, India Mobile Congress 2026 will conclude today in New Delhi. The four day summit, which began on the 7th of this month, is being jointly organized by Department of Telecommunications and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI).
