Depression Over Bay of Bengal Intensifies, Expected to Hit Puri by Tomorrow Noon: IMD

The Indian Meteorological Department, (IMD) has said, the depression over west central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal has moved northwestwards and lay over northwest and adjoining west central Bay of Bengal. It is now 150 kilometre  south-southeast of Puri, Odisha. Talking to Akashwani News, senior scientist in IMD, R K Jenamani said, the system is likely to move northwestwards and intensify into a deep depression during next 12 hours. He added that the system is likely to cross near Puri by tomorrow noon and then move across Chhattisgarh and Odisha causing very to extremely heavy rainfall over Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.
