Delhi Traffic Police make special traffic arrangements for Muharram

The Delhi Traffic Police has made special traffic arrangements today on the occasion of Muharram. Speaking to the media, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Central Range, Nishant Gupta said around 150 police personnel have been deployed in the Central Range to manage traffic and ensure public safety.

He said Tazias will arrive at Jama Masjid from nearby areas, including Darya Ganj and Kamla Market. As a large number of people are expected to gather at Jama Masjid, traffic restrictions will be in place on roads leading to the mosque.

According to the Delhi Traffic Police, vehicles heading towards Jama Masjid from Netaji Subhash Marg will not be allowed. Traffic will be diverted through alternative routes from Netaji Subhash Marg to avoid congestion and ensure the smooth movement of the Muharram procession.

The Delhi Traffic Police has also advised commuters to plan their journeys in advance, follow traffic diversions, and cooperate with police personnel to avoid inconvenience.
