Delhi Police today conducted an inter-state coordination meeting to review preparedness and strengthen inter-state coordination in connection with the upcoming BRICS Summit-2026. The meeting chaired by the Joint Commissioner of Police, Eastern Range, Milind Mahadeo Dumbere, focused on ensuring seamless inter-state and inter-district coordination for effective law and order, security, traffic management, emergency response, border vigilance and movement management during the Summit. Delhi Police said that during the meeting, several key areas were discussed including intelligence sharing on inter-state criminals and security inputs, border vigilance at interstate border points with Ghaziabad and Noida Police, verification and security checks at sensitive locations, aerial vigilance, traffic management among Delhi, Ghaziabad and Noida Traffic Police, and emergency and security preparedness.
The meeting also reviewed deployment planning, route management, security arrangements, movement of dignitaries, crowd management, emergency response and other critical preparedness measures. Delhi Police noted that the concerned Assistant Commissioners of Police and Station House Officers are directed to brief their personnel to maintain high alert and ensure prompt action on any suspicious activity or security input. Emphasis was also laid on close coordination between neighbouring police districts and Traffic Police units for a unified and effective response. Senior officers from the Delhi Police, Ghaziabad Police and Noida Police along with their respective traffic police units participated in this meeting.
