Delhi Police busts inter-state child trafficking racket, 13 arrested and 5 infants rescued

The Central District Police of Delhi have busted an interstate child trafficking racket and arrested 13 accused persons in the case. Five infants have been rescued during the operation.

 

The police have also seized cash amounting to over three lakh rupees during the operation. Investigation in the case has revealed that Heera Multispeciality Hospital in Delhi was being used as a hub for trafficking infants, where deals were struck with couples unable to conceive. It is suspected that over thirty infants have been trafficked in the last one to two years.
