Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested four accused in a crackdown on an ISI-sponsored interstate terror and arms network. Police said that the accused were planning to carry out a terror activity in the national capital on the instructions of ISI handler Shahzad Bhatti and his associates.
During the operation, two foreign-made pistols, nine live cartridges and five mobile phones were recovered. According to Delhi Police, the accused were using foreign numbers to avoid detection, and these numbers were arranged by their Pakistani handler.
The police said that one of the accused from Punjab was tasked with conducting a recce of religious places and police establishments in Delhi. It added that he was also tasked to execute a firing incident in the city.
