Delhi Government to set up cooling zones at NEET centres across national capital

Ahead of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) scheduled for Sunday, the Delhi Government has announced special arrangements for both candidates and their parents at examination centres across the national capital.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that, for the first time, cooling zones will be set up outside all 97 examination centres, including 69 government schools and 28 Kendriya Vidyalayas. These zones will provide seating, clean drinking water, shikanji, ORS, tea, and first-aid facilities.

The Chief Minister stated that the initiative aims to address the difficulties faced by parents who wait outside centres for several hours, often in extreme heat. She said the government has directed officials to ensure proper arrangements so that parents can sit and rest comfortably during the examination.

Highlighting the importance of the move, Chief Minister Gupta said that ensuring comfort for parents will also help reduce stress for students appearing in the exam. She added that the government is committed to respecting every student and parent.
