Janmashtami is being celebrated across Delhi today with great enthusiasm and religious fervor. Temples and squares in NCR including Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad have been decorated for the grand celebration. Devotees have gathered at various temples to attend the morning aarti on the occasion. Joyous celebrations will be held at the Birla Temple, Iskcon Temples in East of Kailash, and Punjabi Bagh, and ISKCON Dwarkadheesh Temple in Dwarka.
Due to Janmashtami celebrations at the ISKCON Temple, Ramlila Ground, and Japanese Park in Rohini, the Delhi Traffic Police has advised people to avoid Bhagwan Mahavir Marg-and connecting routes-between Madhuban Chowk and the Heliport. The Traffic Police also informed that heavy pedestrian movement is expected at Khatu Shyam Delhi Dham Temple in Narela. GT Karnal Road and Ghanta Ghar Chowk may also be avoided as processions will be taken out.
