The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory ahead of a protest march called by opposition parties this afternoon. In its advisory, the Traffic Police said that traffic movement is likely to be affected on various stretches across the national capital during the day.
The entry and exit gates at six Delhi Metro stations will remain closed until 4 PM in view of the opposition’s protest. The Traffic Police has advised commuters to plan their journeys in advance and allow additional travel time. It has also asked motorists to avoid non-essential travel through affected areas, follow diversion signs and the directions of traffic personnel, and cooperate with the Delhi Traffic Police to ensure smooth traffic movement.
Meanwhile, security arrangements have been strengthened in the national capital ahead of the opposition’s protest march. Security has been tightened at the city’s borders, railway stations, bus terminals and other sensitive locations to prevent unauthorised gatherings and maintain law and order.
