Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh will visit Cyprus and Greece from Monday. During his visit, maritime security and defence industrial cooperation will be key areas of discussion. The Defence Ministry said that during his visit to Cyprus on the 12th and 13th of October, Mr Singh will meet his counterparts in the Cypriot Ministry of Defence. The visit is expected to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in the maritime domain.
In Greece, the Defence Secretary will interact with senior defence and military leadership. The visit assumes significance as India seeks to further strengthen its defence and strategic cooperation with partners in the European Union, following the signing of the landmark India-EU Security and Defence Partnership.
