Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has emphasised that advanced infrastructure has always been the hallmark of a developed civilisation.

Addressing the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) Tech Symposium in New Delhi, Mr Singh said the infrastructure being built today will define the country’s civilisation in the years to come. The Defence Minister said landmark projects such as the Atal Tunnel in Rohtang, the world’s highest motorable road at Umling La and the Sela Tunnel, built at an altitude of nearly 13 thousand feet, are living testimonials to the BRO’s capabilities.

Terming these achievements as engineering marvels, the Minister emphasised that, alongside the dedication and hard work of BRO personnel, the continuous adoption of technology is equally important. He lauded the BRO as a frontline organisation in technological innovation and adaptation.
