Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasises integration of healthcare with modern technology

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has emphasised the integration of healthcare with modern technology. He said, as the number of cities is growing, the country’s healthcare infrastructure should also expand accordingly. Mr Singh was speaking after inaugurating a lab facility at Noida in Uttar Pradesh. Mr Singh said that over the past twelve years, the country has witnessed a significant expansion of medical facilities. He said building a healthy and capable India will further strengthen the resolve for a developed India.

He also observed that the aim should not be limited merely to treating diseases, but the healthcare system of the future must focus more on prevention, early detection, risk assessment, and personalised healthcare. Mr Singh said that diagnostic medicine is also undergoing a remarkable transformation today. He noted that Artificial Intelligence, advanced medical imaging, molecular diagnostics, genomics, digital pathology and data-driven healthcare are completely transforming the way diseases are diagnosed and managed. The Defence Minister said that the government is also introducing new technology in Armed Forces Medical Services.
