Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh has said that the war memorials would certainly encourage the young generation of the country. He was addressing the army personnel at Sherathang War Memorial in Sikkim today. The Raksha Mantri celebrated Diwali with army personnel deployed in the area.

Recalling the valour of the security forces, he said that if the nation is peacefully celebrating Diwali, it is because of the forces. He also said that the Sherathang War Memorial is an ample tribute to the martyrs and War heroes who made Supreme sacrifices for the nation. Army Chief Dhiraj Seth and senior army officers also accompanied him during the visit.
