An important meeting of the Defence Ministry’s Consultative Committee will be held in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, today under the chairmanship of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The meeting will discuss various issues related to national security, including the modernisation of the Indian Armed Forces, the use of indigenous defence equipment and emerging military technologies.

The meeting is also expected to deliberate on security preparedness along the western border, strengthening the operational capabilities of the armed forces and measures to address future security challenges. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, along with several Members of Parliament from the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha, has reached Jaisalmer to attend the meeting. Senior officials from the Defence Ministry and the armed forces will also participate in the meeting.
