Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 25 years in public service. In a social media post, Mr Singh said, having served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for 13 years and as the Prime Minister of India for the past 12 years, Mr Modi has remained steadfastly dedicated to the service of the people. He said, Mr Modi’s journey, which began on 7th October 2001 as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, has come to symbolise nation-building, good governance and public welfare.
Mr Singh said, the guiding principle throughout this journey has always been Nation First, Always First. He said, under Mr Modi’s visionary leadership, welfare initiatives have expanded on an unprecedented scale, enabling crores of people to gain access to basic necessities such as homes, tap water, toilets, LPG connections and banking services. The Minister said, today, guided by the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat, people of the country are moving forward with the resolve to build a Viksit Bharat. He said, under the leadership of Mr Modi, good governance has been strengthened, and India has steadily advanced towards self-reliance across sectors.
Mr Singh said, today, India has emerged as the world’s fourth-largest economy, while the benefits of development have become more inclusive. He said, employment and opportunities for the youth have expanded, entrepreneurship and start-ups have received a strong impetus, and new avenues for innovation have opened up. He added that at the same time, India is strengthening its internal security and responding to external threats with firmness and resolve. Mr Singh said, the 25-year journey of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the service of the nation is an inspiration for all. He said, these 25 years mark a milestone in his journey, not a full stop. Conveying best wishes, Mr Singh said, in the years ahead, people of the country continue to move forward on the path of national service with renewed energy and dedication, under Mr Modi’s visionary leadership, guided by the resolve that “Jan Seva is Prabhu Seva”- service to the people is service to the Almighty.
