In Manipur, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised Marathon races today in different parts of the State with the objective of promoting physical fitness, sportsmanship, healthy lifestyle and greater community participation through sports. 

 

232 (M) Battalion CRPF organised a 10 KM Marathon at Football ground in Motbung of Kangpokpi district today. The event witnessed participation of 123 runners and sports enthusiasts. After completion of the race, the winners were felicitated and cash prizes along with medals and certificates were distributed to the top performers. 

 

71st Battalion CRPF also successfully organised a 10 KM Mini Marathon race today in Bishnupur district today. The race was organised in three different categories according to the age of participants. In Jiribam district, 156th Battalion CRPF organised a Mini Marathon race today in the district and 212 runners participated in the event.
