Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Pralhad Joshi held a review meeting with the Secretary and senior officials of Department of Food and Public Distribution to assess the current stock position of sugar, production levels and its requirement for the ongoing sugar season.

During the meeting, Mr Joshi emphasized on the close monitoring of availability and timely measures to maintain adequate stocks of sugar and ensure a stable supply throughout the season.
