Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu has congratulated National Aerospace Laboratories on successfully completing the design phase of 19-seater Saras MK-II. In a social media post, Mr Naidu said that Saras advances Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision on becoming country’s first indigenously designed light transport aircraft. The Minister said that this breakthrough in domestic aerospace manufacturing will empower UDAN vision to connect the remotest and high-altitude airfields with Made in India aircraft.
