Cities across Madhya Pradesh are celebrating Eid-ul-Azha today in a peaceful and joyful atmosphere.
Mosques and Eidgahs were packed with worshippers since morning. After prayers, people hugged each other and exchanged greetings.In Bhopal, thousands gathered at the historic Taj-ul-Masjid for special prayers. Following a 50-year-old tradition, a Hindu family welcomed the city Qazi with a garland of flowers. They then took him to the Eidgah in a decorated carriage.In Gwalior, people from other faiths also gathered outside mosques to greet the Muslim community. Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board has issued important guidelines for animal sacrifice. The Board said sacrifices should be made only at designated places. Cleanliness must be maintained. People have been asked not to post photos or videos of the sacrifice on social media, so that communal harmony is preserved.
