The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has detected unaccounted cash amounting to over 68 lakh rupees at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. The CISF said that its personnel detected cash from two passengers based on behavioural observation and subsequent CCTV analysis. Acting on suspicion, CISF personnel identified a passenger for detailed screening.
During CCTV review, another passenger accompanying him was also identified. Both passengers were travelling to Guwahati and onward to Agartala. During detailed screening of their baggage, a total of 68 lakh 53 thousand rupees in cash was detected from both passengers. The CISF said that the passengers, along with the detected cash, baggage and relevant travel documents, were handed over to the Income Tax officials for further necessary action.
