The Chhattisgarh Council of Ministers has approved the draft of Ease of Doing Business Bill. The proposed legislation aims to make the process of establishing trade and industrial units in the state simpler, more transparent, digital and time-bound. With this initiative, Chhattisgarh has become the first state in the country to introduce such a Bill.
The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai in Raipur today. The Bill provides for deemed permission, self-certification, third-party verification, risk-based inspection, and the elimination of duplicate licensing requirements. These measures are expected to reduce unnecessary procedural hurdles for investors, improve the ease of doing business, and provide fresh momentum to investment, industrial development, and employment generation in the state.
