A mock drill was conducted today in all thirty-three districts of Chhattisgarh to strengthen preparedness for flood-like natural disasters and ensure effective relief and rescue operations. During the exercise, the speed of information sharing and coordination among the NDRF, SDRF, Army, Police, Home Guards and other departments was assessed under various emergency situations. The drill also included evacuation of people affected by natural disasters to safe locations, operation of relief camps and deployment of medical teams.
