In Chhattisgarh, Agniveers will now get ten per cent reservation in direct recruitment to the posts of constables in the Police Department, forest guards in the Forest Department, and wardens in the Jail Department.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the State Council of Ministers chaired by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai at the Mantralaya today. The benefit will be available to Agniveers who have completed four years of service and have been discharged with a valid service certificate. The State Government said the decision will provide better employment opportunities to Agniveers and enable the State services to benefit from their discipline and experience.
