Tripura Chief Minister  Dr. Manik Saha has said that the Central Government is giving significant importance to the development of transport infrastructure in the state.

 

Speaking after a courtesy meeting and discussion with Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi today, the Chief Minister said the meeting focused on the progress of ongoing National Highway projects in Tripura, expediting the implementation of various road projects, and proposals for new National Highways and transport infrastructure.

 

Dr. Saha said the Centre is committed to strengthening road connectivity in Tripura and the North-Eastern region by integrating the region with the country’s broader growth framework. He added that the Central Government is emphasising developing sustainable and affordable highway infrastructure to boost the local economy and improve connectivity across the region.
