Centre approves 45 road projects worth ₹710 crore in Mizoram under PMGSY-IV

The Government has approved 45 road projects covering over 500 kilometres, worth 710 crore rupees, in Mizoram under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-IV for the financial year 2026-27.

The Ministry of Rural Development said these projects will provide all-weather road connectivity to 48 habitations for the first time. It added that the road connectivity would enable residents of these habitations to access essential services such as schools, hospitals and rural markets, thereby contributing significantly to their social and economic development. The projects will also support the Government’s vision of a Viksit Bharat.

The Ministry further said that a total of 367 road projects and seven bridges, worth over 3,400 crore rupees, have been sanctioned for Mizoram under the scheme.
