Central Ministries organise special events in New Delhi to mark International Yoga Day

Various Central Government Ministries and Departments under them have organised special events to celebrate the 12th International Day of Yoga in New Delhi today.
 
The Department of Telecommunications (DoT), under the Ministry of Communications, celebrated the International Yoga Day at Sanchar Bhawan, New Delhi. Amit Agrawal, Secretary, DoT along with senior officers and more than 100 officials and staff members of the Department, participated in the yoga session and performed various yoga asanas, breathing exercises and meditation practices. 
 
The Savitribai Phule National Institute of Women and Child Development, under the Ministry of Women and Child Development, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2026 with great enthusiasm at its Headquarters in New Delhi. Anil Malik, Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development, graced the event, along with senior officers and dignitaries from the Ministry. The yoga session witnessed the participation of approximately 300 officials and staff members.
 
Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Land Resources and Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Rural Development, Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of External Affairs, and the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser, Government of India, jointly organised International Day of Yoga celebrations at Kartavya Bhavan-03, New Delhi. Narendra Bhooshan, Secretary, Department of Land Resources; P Narahari, Joint Secretary, Department of Land Resources, and P Abdul Kareem, Economic Adviser, Department of Land Resources, along with other senior officers graces the evenyt. The programme highlighted the importance of yoga in promoting a healthy lifestyle and holistic well-being.
 
The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) also celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga with great enthusiasm at the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), in Okhla, New Delhi. Senior officers of the Ministry of MSME and NSIC participated in an energising yoga session, reaffirming their commitment to wellness, mindfulness and holistic well-being. As part of the celebrations, a Health Check-up Camp was also organised at NSIC, Okhla, in collaboration with MASSH Super Speciality Hospital.
