Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya has said the central government has sanctioned 36,000 crore rupees to build a robust sports ecosystem and infrastructure across the country.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the ‘Khelo India Dialogue’ at IIT Gandhinagar in Palaj, Dr. Mandaviya emphasized that this fund will be utilized to establish sports academies, promote a vibrant sports culture, and strengthen infrastructure, ensuring that talented athletes from both rural and urban areas get opportunities to compete on global platforms.
He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a nationwide campaign is underway to boost youth participation in sports, reflecting the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’.
