Phase one of the Census 2027 begins in Nagaland today. Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has appealed the citizens to actively participate in the Census self-enumeration process. Stressing on importance of accurate population data, Mr Rio said comprehensive Census information is essential for informed planning, effective governance, and formulation of policies that will benefit future generations.
The Chief Minister also urged citizens to encourage others to register and participate in the exercise. Self-enumeration will be opened till 30th of this month, while field enumeration will be carried out from 1st to 30th of the next month.
