The 2nd phase of Population Enumeration under Census-2027 will start in Punjab from November 16th and will continue till January 4th, 2027.
Under this, the online self-enumeration will start from 16th November to 30th November. Whereas, the enumerators would start door to door enumeration from December 1st, 2026 to 4th January, 2027.
This was apprised by Punjab Census Director, Dr. Navjot Khosa during a one-day Conference of Principal Census Officers (PCOs) for Phase-II at Chandigarh, today. The conference was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary, Punjab, KAP Sinha, to review the preparedness and operational readiness for the forthcoming Population Enumeration phase of Census 2027.
The conference was attended by members of the State Level Census Coordination Committee (SLCCC), Divisional Commissioners and all Principal Census Officers, comprising the Deputy Commissioners of the Districts and Municipal Commissioners of the Municipal Corporations.
