Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar today congratulated the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIIDEM) team for completing 15 years in service of electoral training and management. Mr Kumar said that during the Lok Sabha elections, the institute shoulders the responsibility of imparting training nearly one crore 80 lakh officials.

 

He was speaking during the conference on capacity building and strategic roadmap organised by IIIDEM in New Delhi. During the two day event which began yesterday, over 450 participants including National and State Level Master Trainers too part  to discuss emerging priorities and chart the future direction of electoral capacity building. 

 

Election Commission said that since 2011, IIIDEM has conducted one thousand 885 training programmes reaching more than one lakh 20 thousand participants across national and international platforms. The commission also highlighted that IIIDEM’s international training footprint reaches 142 countries.
