CBI closes Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, ruled out any foul play

The Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI has closed Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, more than four years after the actor was found hanging in his apartment in Mumbai under mysterious circumstances. The CBI has ruled out any foul play in his death, as suspected by the family. The death of a 34 year old actor was shrouded in conspiracy theories including him being a victim of an alleged culture of nepotism in Bollywood. The senior investigation officer said, after an extensive investigation of the case the agency has not found any foul play. He said, therefore, a closure report was filed in two related cases before a special court in Mumbai.
The report effectively gives a clean chit to actress Rhea Chakraborty and her family members, who were accused by Rajput’s family of driving their son to suicide and embezzling his funds.
The court has fixed April 8 for hearing the matter and further orders.
