In Maharashtra, 4 people were killed and 2 others injured after a car hit a road divider, overturned and collided with a truck on the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway in Satara district in the early hours of today.

According to police, the car was travelling from Pune towards Satara when the driver lost control of the vehicle. It first hit the road divider and overturned before veering into the opposite lane, where it collided with a truck. The injured persons have been admitted to a nearby hospital. Traffic movement on the busy highway has since been restored. Police have launched an investigation into the accident.
