Captain Smit Machchhar, who was injured in the flydubai flight incident, is in stable condition and recovering well, said India’s Ambassador to the UAE, Dr Deepak Mittal.
Speaking Exclusively to Akashvani News, Ambassador Mittal said he met Captain Machchhar and his family in the UAE and found the pilot in good spirits. Mr Mittal said Smit was speaking openly, smiling and laughing, which was a great relief for us and, most importantly, for his family.
Dr Mittal said the Captain is receiving good medical care and that the Indian Embassy remains in continuous contact with the UAE authorities. He added that the Embassy would ensure that Captain Machchhar receives the best possible medical care and all assistance available for his recovery.
