BYC accuses Pakistani security personnel of killing two civilians in Balochistan

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has reported two separate killings of Baloch civilians, accusing Pakistani security personnel of involvement in these incidents in Balochistan.  These incidents have intensified concerns over enforced disappearances, extrajudicial executions and civilian safety in Balochistan. The Balochistan Post reported that one victim had remained missing for more than nine months before his body was recovered in Barkhan recently.

The BYC said military intelligence personnel took him from outside the Sessions Court in Rakhni on December 26. In a separate incident, another person from Loti in Dera Bugti, was shot dead by Pakistani Coast Guard personnel in Winder on October 11. The BYC urged international human rights organisations to intervene over what it described as a continuing pattern of enforced disappearances followed by killings and extrajudicial executions. It also appealed to the United Nations to take urgent notice of these incidents. BYC’s report covering January to June 2026 recorded 150 civilian deaths, including 15 minors.
