आज हम बात करेंगे कि हमारे पर्यावरण की सुरक्षा क्यों ज़रूरी है और हम अपने ग्रह को ज़्यादा हरा-भरा और सेहतमंद बनाने के लिए कौन से आसान कदम उठा सकते हैं।

 

World Environment Day is being celebrated across the globe today. It has been observed on 5th June every year since 1973 as part of the United Nations Environment Programme to build awareness to save life on Earth.

 

चलिए, एक सवाल से शुरू करते हैं। हमें रोज़ाना प्रकृति से क्या मिलता है?

 

That’s easy! We get clean air to breathe, water to drink, food to eat, and beautiful surroundings to enjoy.

 

 

बिल्कुल! लेकिन दुख की बात है कि प्रदूषण, पेड़ों की कटाई और बहुत ज़्यादा कचरा हमारे पर्यावरण को नुकसान पहुँचा रहे हैं।

 

 

That’s why World Environment Day reminds us that every individual has a responsibility to protect nature.

 

 

हमारे सुनने वालों के लिए एक छोटा सा सवाल: क्या आप घर या स्कूल में अपनाई जाने वाली किसी एक पर्यावरण-अनुकूल आदत का नाम बता सकते हैं?

 

 

Let us share some simple yet effective steps to conserve the environment.

 

1 – Plant more trees. Trees absorb carbon dioxide and provide oxygen. Even planting one sapling can make a difference.

 

2 – कम इस्तेमाल करें, दोबारा इस्तेमाल करें और रीसायकल करें। किसी चीज़ को फेंकने से पहले सोचें कि क्या उसे दोबारा इस्तेमाल या रीसायकल किया जा सकता है।

 

3 – Save water. Turn off taps when not in use and avoid wasting this precious resource.

 

 

4 – बिजली बचाएं। जब ज़रूरत न हो, तो लाइट, पंखे और इलेक्ट्रॉनिक डिवाइस बंद कर दें।

 

 

5 – Say no to single-use plastic. Carry cloth bags and reusable bottles whenever possible.

 

 

6 – अपने आस-पास की जगह को साफ़ रखें। हमेशा कूड़ेदान का इस्तेमाल करें और दूसरों को भी ऐसा करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करें।

 

Protecting the environment does not require big actions. Small efforts by millions of people can create a huge impact.

 

Do you know, how India is emerging as a global leader in environmental conservation and sustainable development.

 

बिल्कुल सही! पर्यावरण बचाने के वैश्विक अभियान में भारत ने पिछले बारह सालों में खास नीतियों और लगातार किए गए कामों के ज़रिए ज़बरदस्त तरक्की की है।

 

जब आप पर्यावरण की सुरक्षा के बारे में सोचते हैं, तो सबसे पहले क्या ख्याल आता है? पेड़? नदियाँ? वन्यजीव?

 

Probably all of them! And the good news is that India has made significant strides in each of these areas. Forest and tree cover have expanded, while wetlands, mangroves, and coastal ecosystems have been restored.

 

यह बहुत बढ़िया है! और नदियों की बात करें तो, हममें से कई लोगों ने ‘नमामि गंगे कार्यक्रम’ के बारे में सुना होगा। इसने गंगा को फिर से जीवंत करने और प्रदूषण का स्तर कम करने में अहम भूमिका निभाई है।

 

Absolutely. Cleaner rivers mean healthier ecosystems and better lives for millions of people.

 

हमारे सुनने वालों के लिए एक और सवाल: भारत में किस जानवर को अक्सर सफल वन्यजीव संरक्षण का प्रतीक माना जाता है?

 

If you guessed the tiger, you’re absolutely right! Along with tigers, populations of lions, elephants, rhinos, and several other species have also increased in recent years.

 

यह बहुत अच्छी खबर है। इससे पता चलता है कि जब संरक्षण के प्रयासों को प्रतिबद्धता और समुदाय की भागीदारी का समर्थन मिलता है, तो सकारात्मक बदलाव संभव है।

 

India has also strengthened its environmental management systems. Solid waste processing rates have improved, and circular economy practices are being promoted through Extended Producer Responsibility, or EPR, frameworks.

 

आसान शब्दों में, इसका मतलब है कि उत्पादकों और उपभोक्ताओं, दोनों को ही कचरा कम करने, ज़्यादा रीसायकल करने और संसाधनों का ज़िम्मेदारी से इस्तेमाल करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया जाए।

 

And that’s not all! Green skills, environmental awareness, and the use of technology for conservation are helping create a more sustainable future.

 

हम अपने सुनने वालों के सामने एक छोटा सा चैलेंज रखना चाहते हैं: क्या आप आज कोई ऐसा छोटा कदम उठा सकते हैं जिससे कचरा कम हो या संसाधनों की बचत हो?

 

Maybe carrying a reusable water bottle, planting a tree, switching off unused lights, or avoiding single-use plastics!

 

हर छोटा कदम मायने रखता है। और जहाँ नागरिक अपना योगदान दे रहे हैं, वहीं भारत भी वैश्विक मंच पर अपनी छाप छोड़ रहा है।

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended wishes to the countrymen on World Environment Day. In a social media post, Mr Modi said that the day reaffirms the commitment to protecting the environment and furthering sustainable growth. He noted that numerous efforts of the Government over the last decade highlight its work in this direction.

 

उन्होंने बताया कि भारत की कुछ अहम कामयाबियों में हरियाली का दायरा बढ़ाना और कई जानवरों की आबादी में बढ़ोतरी शामिल है। उन्होंने कहा कि ‘एक पेड़ माँ के नाम’ जैसी पहलों ने हर साल लगभग 1.19 लाख हेक्टेयर वन क्षेत्र जोड़ने में अहम योगदान दिया है।

 

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal today stressed the need for greater awareness on environmental protection and expanding green cover across the country.

 

पर्यावरण, वन और जलवायु परिवर्तन मंत्री भूपेंद्र यादव ने दिल्ली की मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता के साथ आज नई दिल्ली में अठारह नमो ऑक्सीजन पार्कों का उद्घाटन किया।

 

Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Dr L. Murugan today planted a sapling under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign at the premises of Akashvani in New Delhi. Talking to Akashvani News, Dr Murugun appealed to the citizens to take a pledge to protect the environment. He emphasized the need to save water, planting trees and protecting and conserving them.

LEH INTRO

Ladakh once used to be landlocked during the winter months due to heavy  snow fall at passes, will now have all weather connectivity  as the Zojila Tunnel is in near completion. This tunnel, which is 13.15-kilometre is strategically significant as it will be all weather connectivity linked for Ladakh with the rest of the country through Jammu and Kashmir and it is set to achieve a major milestone on June 9 as Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari  will  trigger the breakthrough blast. On this day, the teams excavating at both ends of the tunnel will meet. Our Leh Correspondent has filed more on it :

 

“Zojila Tunnel is one the  most ambitious road projects in the country and it will  create history  as it  will become the longest single-tube, bi-directional road tunnel at an altitude of 11,500 feet in Asia. It is expected to significantly boost connectivity, mobility, and economic activity in the strategically significant region of the country. The tunnel is equipped with CCTV surveillance, radio control, an uninterrupted power supply, and ventilation systems. Not only Ladakh will have all weather connectivity, but it will eliminate all the challenges that a traveller while traveling from Sonamarg to Drass on the Leh-Srinagar National  Highway have to pass through the  Zojila Pass, which is considered extremely challenging due to snowfall and inclement weather. Zojila Tunnel is set to be completed by February 2028. Yangchan Dolma for Parikarma from Leh Ladakh.”

PATNA INTRO;

कल्पना कीजिए, बिहार का एक युवा… जिसके पास एक नया विचार है, कुछ अलग करने का सपना है, लेकिन संसाधनों की कमी उसे आगे बढ़ने से रोकती है। कुछ वर्ष पहले तक ऐसे अनेक सपने अक्सर सोच तक ही सीमित रह जाते थे। लेकिन अब तस्वीर बदल रही है। EK REPORT;

 

“राज्य सरकार की स्टार्टअप नीति और उससे जुड़ी विभिन्न पहलें युवाओं को उद्यमिता की ओर बढ़ने का अवसर दे रही हैं। उद्देश्य केवल नौकरी पाने वालों की संख्या बढ़ाना नहीं, बल्कि ऐसे युवा तैयार करना है जो स्वयं रोजगार सृजित करें और दूसरों के लिए भी अवसर बनाएं। बिहार स्टार्टअप नीति 2022 के तहत युवाओं को वित्तीय सहायता, प्रशिक्षण और इन्क्यूबेशन जैसी सुविधाएं उपलब्ध कराई जा रही हैं। शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में कार्य कर रहे उद्यमी रामाशीष कुमार भी ऐसे ही युवाओं में शामिल हैं, जिन्होंने सरकारी सहायता के बल पर अपने विचार को एक सफल उद्यम का रूप दिया।

 

 

सिर्फ आर्थिक सहायता ही नहीं, बल्कि काम करने के लिए बेहतर माहौल भी तैयार किया जा रहा है। पटना के मौर्य लोक परिसर में विकसित 154 सीटों वाले को–वर्किंग स्पेस में वर्तमान में 65 से अधिक स्टार्टअप संचालित हो रहे हैं। रियायती शुल्क पर उपलब्ध यह सुविधा नए उद्यमियों को कार्यालय, प्रशिक्षण और निवेशकों से जुड़ने का अवसर प्रदान कर रही है। तकनीक आधारित स्टार्टअप चला रहे उद्यमी रौशन का कहना है कि ऐसी सुविधाएं उद्यमियों के लिए व्यवसाय शुरू करने और उसे आगे बढ़ाने में काफी मददगार साबित हो रही हैं।

 

 

एक ओर सरकार स्वरोजगार और स्टार्टअप को बढ़ावा देने के लिए लगातार प्रयास कर रही है, वहीं दूसरी ओर युवा भी नए अवसरों को अपनाने के लिए आगे आ रहे हैं। यही कारण है कि बिहार का स्टार्टअप इकोसिस्टम लगातार मजबूत हो रहा है। आने वाले समय में यह पहले बिहार को एक सशक्त स्टार्टअप केंद्र के रूप में नई पहचान दिलाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा सकती हैं। परिक्रमा के लिए पटना से सत्यम कुमार के साथ निधि श्री की रिपोर्ट।“

AIZAWL INTRO;

The Mizoram government has launched ‘Khet Bachao Abhiyan,’ an initiative of the Centre’s  Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Ministry to curb  soil degradation. More from our correspondent;

 

“The initiative, which aimed at promoting balanced, soil test-based fertiliser application and natural farming methods, was launched by state Governor Vijay Kumar Singh at the Lok Bhavan. Speaking on the occasion, Singh  expressed concern over the excessive use of chemical fertilisers and pesticides in pursuit of higher crop yields, which he said has adversely affected agricultural land and human health. He called for greater efforts to protect  agricultural land through soil conservation, balanced fertilizer use and natural farming practices. Hinglighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s National mission on natural farming, Singh stressed the importance of gradually shifting towards natural agricultural practices to safeguard both the environment and the quality of agricultural produce. He said that regular soil testing is essential to identify nutrient deficiencies and ensure crops receive appropriate nutrition. Singh urged agricultural scientists and experts to actively support farmers in adopting sustainable farming techniques. Noting that agriculture remains the backbone of Mizoram’s economy, the Governor said the state could achieve self-sufficiency in food production and maximise farmers’ incomes through coordinated efforts by experts and Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs).  He pointed out that Mizoram’s crops are unique due to the continued practice of jhum cultivation on hilly slopes, where maintaining nutrient balance is particularly challenging. आज विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस गुरुग्राम में राज्य स्तरीय समारोह का आयोजन किया गया। जिसमें केन्द्रीय ऊर्जा मंत्री मनोहर लाल ने मुख्य अतिथि के तौर पर शिरकत की जबकि  हरियाणा के वन एंव  पर्यावरण मंत्री राव नरबीर सिंह विशेष अतिथि के रूप में शामिल हुए। इस अवसर पर केंद्रीय मंत्री मनोहर लाल खट्टर ने धनकोट में बायोरिमेडिएशन पायलट परियोजना का उद्घाटन किया। EK REPORT;

 

 

“श्री मनोहर लाल ने  कहा कि इस तकनीक के माध्यम से जैविक घटकों का उपयोग करके प्रदूषित पानी और कचरे का प्राकृतिक रूप से उपचार किया जाएगा। यह परियोजना गुरुग्राम और आसपास के क्षेत्रों में प्रदूषण नियंत्रण की दिशा में एक गेम–चेंजर साबित होगी। केंद्रीय मंत्री ने हरियाणा सरकार के इन प्रयासों की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि पर्यावरण का संतुलन बनाए रखना सब की सामूहिक जिम्मेदारी है। बढ़ती आबादी और शहरीकरण के बीच ऐसी आधुनिक और वैज्ञानिक तकनीकों का इस्तेमाल बेहद जरूरी हो गया है।  श्री मनोहर लाल ने गुरुग्राम नगर निगम की पार्कों में शोधित अपशिष्ट जल की आपूर्ति करने वाली पाइपलाइन परियोजना और सेक्टर-109 में मैटेरियल रिकवरी सुविधा का शिलान्यास भी किया। विशिष्ट अतिथि राव नरबीर सिंह ने कहा कि सरकार पूरे प्रदेश में हरित क्षेत्र बढ़ाने और जल स्रोतों को पुनर्जीवित करने के लिए पूरी तरह प्रतिबद्ध है। उन्होंने कहा कि हरियाणा सरकार द्वारा पर्यावरण संरक्षण को जन आंदोलन का स्वरूप देने के उद्देश्य से विभिन्न योजनाओं और अभियानों को धरातल पर लागू किया जा रहा है। प्रदेशवासियों को अधिक से अधिक पौधारोपण करने, जल संरक्षण को बढ़ावा देने, स्वच्छता अपनाने तथा सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक के उपयोग से बचने के लिए लगातार प्रेरित किया जा रहा है। इस अवसर पर एक विशाल पौधारोपण कार्यक्रम का भी आयोजन किया गया। मंत्रियों सहित उपस्थित नागरिकों और अधिकारियों ने परिसर में पौधारोपण भी किया। परिक्रमा के लिए चंडीगढ़ से अश्विनी कुमार शर्मा“

Remembering Eminent Hindustani Classical Vocalist and Child prodigy Master Madan on his 98th Birth Anniversary (28 December 1927 – 5 June 1942)

 

 

प्रतिभाशाली ग़ज़ल और गीत गायक थे। मास्टर मदन के बारे में बहुत कम लोग जानते है। मास्टर मदन एक ऐसे कलाकार थे जो 1930 के दशक में एक किशोर के रूप में ख्याति प्राप्त करके मात्र 15 वर्ष की उम्र में 1940 के दशक में ही स्वर्गवासी हो गए। ऐसा माना जाता है कि मास्टर मदन को आकाशवाणी और अनेक रियासतों के दरबार में गाने के लिए बहुत ऊँची रकम दी जाती थी। मास्टर मदन उस समय के प्रसिद्ध गायक कुंदन लाल सहगल के बहुत क़रीब थे जिसका कारण दोनों का ही जालंधर का निवासी होना था। उनके जीवन में केवल 8 गाने ही रिकॉर्ड हो पाये जो आज उपलब्ध है।

मुकेश भट्ट

प्रसिद्ध फ़िल्म निर्माता जिन्होंने कई बॉलीवुड फ़िल्में प्रोड्यूस की हैं। फिल्‍म निर्माता के तौर पर मुकेश भट्ट की पहली फ़िल्म सफल फ़िल्म ‘जुर्म’ थी, बाद में उन्होंने गुलशन कुमार के साथ मिलकर ‘आशिकी’ प्रोड्यूस की और इसे उनके भाई महेश ने निर्देशित किया था। ‘दिल है कि मानता नहीं’ और ‘सड़क’ जैसी फिल्‍में हिट रहीं। भट्ट ने आने वाले सालों में कई फ़िल्में प्रोड्यूस कीं जो बॉक्‍स ऑफिस पर कामयाब रहीं।
