Another very important day that is being observed across the world today is- World Lupus Day.
आज हम एक ऐसी बीमारी के बारे में बात कर रहे हैं जिसके बारे में शायद बहुत से लोगों ने सुना होगा… लेकिन वे इसे पूरी तरह से समझते नहीं हैं – ल्यूपस। इसे अक्सर “अदृश्य बीमारी” कहा जाता है, क्योंकि इसके कई लक्षण असल में दिखाई नहीं देते।
Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease, which means the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks its own healthy tissues and organs.

The Ministry of Education will organise Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camp 2026 in all schools across the country during summer vacation. In a social media post the Ministry said that the week-long camp will provide students an engaging opportunity to learn basic communication skills in various Indian languages through interactive activities focused on self-introduction, vocabulary building, real-life conversations and cultural appreciation. The Ministry added that this year the initiative also introduces Indian Sign Language (ISL) as a special highlight, reinforcing the vision of inclusive and equitable education envisioned in the National Education Policy 2020. The initiative was launched by Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan last year.

The three-day Konkan Fruit Fiesta 2026 will be held at Rosary High School grounds in Navelim from 15th to 17th May. Organised by the Agricos Alumni Association, with support from Our Lady of Rosary Church, the event will bring together government agencies, farmers, self-help groups, and entrepreneurs from Goa, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. The festival aims to promote local fruits, especially mangoes and other summer produce, which have seen a record harvest this year. A “Fresh Fruit Competition” will be held on 14th May. It is open to all, with no entry fee. Winners will receive cash prizes and certificates on 17th May. भारत के प्रसिद्ध संतूर वादक शिवकुमार शर्मा की पुण्यतिथि है। संतूर की लोकप्रियता का सर्वाधिक श्रेय शिवकुमार शर्मा को ही जाता है। उन्होंने संतूर को भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीत के अनुकूल बनाने के लिये इसमें कुछ परिवर्तन भी किये थे। शिवकुमार शर्मा ने अपने पिता उमादत्त शर्मा से शिक्षा प्राप्त करके सन्तूर वादन की ‘तकनीक और टोन‘ को उन्नत बनाया और अपने चिन्तन तथा प्रयोगों से इस कश्मीरी लोक वाद्य को व्यापकता प्रदान की थी, जिससे यह शास्त्रीय संगीत रागदारी की सर्वांगीण प्रस्तुति में पूर्णत: सक्षम वाद्य बन गया।
