52 वर्षीय श्री माझी को कल सर्वसम्मति से भाजपा विधायक दल का नेता चुना गया। इस दौरान केंद्रीय मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह और भूपेंद्र यादव केंद्रीय प्रेक्षक के रूप में मौजूद रहे। श्री माझी ओडिसा के क्योंझर से चौथी बार विधायक चुने गए हैं। वे इससे पहले 2000, 2004 और 2019 में यहां से विधायक रहे।

एक जुलाई, 1964 को जन्मे लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल उपेन्द्र द्विवेदी 15 दिसंबर, 1984 को भारतीय सेना की इन्फैंट्री (जम्मू और कश्मीर राइफल्स) में शामिल हुए थे। लगभग 40 वर्षों की लंबी और विशिष्ट सेवा के दौरान उन्होंने विभिन्न पदों पर अपनी सेवा दी है। सेना के उप प्रमुख के रूप में नियुक्त होने से पहले लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल द्विवेदी 2022 से 2024 तक इन्फैंट्री के महानिदेशक और जनरल ऑफिसर कमांडिंग इन चीफ (मुख्यालय, उत्तरी कमान) सहित महत्वपूर्ण पदों पर कार्यरत रहे हैं।
मध्यप्रदेश के रीवा स्थित सैनिक स्कूल और नेशनल डिफेंस कॉलेज तथा अमरीका में आर्मी वॉर कॉलेज के पूर्व छात्र रहे लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल द्विवेदी ने रक्षा और प्रबंधन अध्ययन में एम. फिल. की डिग्री प्राप्त की। उन्होंने रणनीतिक अध्ययन और सैन्य विज्ञान में भी स्नातकोत्तर की दो डिग्रियां प्राप्त की हैं। उन्हें परम विशिष्ट सेवा मेडल, अति विशिष्ट सेवा मेडल और तीन जनरल ऑफिसर कमांडिंग इन चीफ प्रशस्ति कार्ड से भी अलंकृत किया गया है।

जम्मू कश्मीर में कल शाम कठुवा में हीरानगर सेक्टर के सैदा सुखल क्षेत्र में सुरक्षाबलों के साथ मुठभेड में एक आतंवादी मारा गया। पुलिस के एक अधिकारी ने बताया कि क्षेत्र में छिपे हुए आतंकवादियों और सुरक्षाबलों के बीच अभी भी मुठभेड जारी है। स्थानीय लोगों की ओर से गोलीबारी किए जाने की सूचना मिलने के बाद सुरक्षाबलों ने गांव की घेराबंदी की है। इस घटना में एक स्थानीय व्यक्ति के घायल होने की खबर है। पुलिस अधिकारी ने बताया कि दो आतंकवादियों के अभी भी वहां छिपे होने की आशंका है।

Russian and Belarusian armed forces have begun the second phase of tactical nuclear weapon exercises. The Russian Defence Ministry said, the exercises are aimed at maintaining the readiness of personnel and equipment of units for the combat use of non-strategic nuclear weapons of two countries, to unconditionally ensure the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Union State. According to an agency report, in the first stage of drills, Russian forces conducted combat training tasks involving the Iskander operational-tactical missile system, specifically equipping launch vehicles with ammunition. Russian Aerospace forces conducted exercises involving the Kinzhal hypersonic aeroballistic missiles.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange alert warning for heat wave to severe heat wave conditions over the Northern belt of India including , Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Division, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi for the next four days. Severe heat wave conditions are also very likely in some parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh for the next three two four days.
On Monsoon, IMD said that conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of Telangana and Chhattisgarh during next one day. Light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm and lightning is likely over North-East India and West Bengal m during next seven days. Similar conditions will most likely prevail over Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha during next five days and increase thereafter. The weather agency informed that light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds will prevail over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and most parts of South India during next five days.

IIT Madras has reduced the total number of hours from 436 to 400 hours to ease the academic pressure on students. First year students will get four weeks extra vacation time and an early exit option to pursue alternative career paths. IIT-M will give them one and half months of vacation during winter and two and half months of vacation during summer. Students can select 40 percent of total credits as elective courses. The Institute will introduce a course on entrepreneurship and hands-on projects from second year BTech degree onwards. These changes have been implemented following the rigourous recommendations by an Institute Curriculum task force , orienting it towards employment, research , innovations and entrepreneurship. IIT -M plansa recreation course for first year students to allow them to pursue their passion in sports and arts.

BENGALURU METRO
Karnataka Revenue Department has launched the Land Beat program to safeguard government properties in the state. The revenue department has prepared digital records of 1.4 million Government properties under the revenue department along with survey numbers and geo boundaries. All these records have GPS coordinates for exact location. A mobile app is developed where all these records can be accessed by the revenue officials for future references. Based on the app, the revenue officials have visited each site to check for encroachments and report any issues directly through the app. The Revenue minister Krishna Byre Gowda has said that stringent measures will be initiated to remove encroachments from the revenue land. He informed that the village administrative officers have visited and verified over 5,90,000 properties and based on the reports, evictions of encroachers will be initiated soon. Byre Gowda said that they have detailed digital records of government lands in every village now. The field verifications will continue to prevent any encroachment.

Telangana Governor C P Radhakrishnan has said the country has ample opportunities to grow to a gross domestic product of 30 trillion dollars by 2047, and asked the youth to play a major role in making the country a developed one. He said the government will provide more support to natural and organic agriculture for further growth. Delivering the third convocation address at the Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University held in Mulugu in Siddipet district, the Governor said, agriculture is the main source of income for over 70 percent of rural people in the country and over 82 percent are small marginal farmers. He expressed hope that the importance of horticulture and forestry sectors will increase along with agriculture. The Governor called upon the students to achieve their goals of success. The governor recalled the Central government’s initiatives for improving farmer’s income on the occasion.

बात करते हैं दिल्ली की तो मानसून से पहले यमुना में बाढ़ की स्थितियों से निपटने की तैयारियों के लिए दिल्ली सरकार में शहरी विकास मंत्री सौरभ भारद्वाज ने कल आई.टी.ओ. बैराज का निरीक्षण किया। श्री भारद्वाज ने बताया कि पानी के बहाव में किसी प्रकार की रुकावट ना हो इसके लिए आई.टी.ओ. स्थित बैराज के सभी गेट खोल दिए गए हैं। श्री भारद्वाज ने बताया कि बाढ़ की स्थिति से निपटने के लिए सरकार ने पायलट कट नामक एक नई तकनीक का इस्तेमाल किया है। इस तकनीक के प्रयोग से बैराज के आसपास वर्षों से जमी मिट्टी पानी के तेज़ बहाव के साथ बहकर साफ हो जाएगी।

उत्तर प्रदेश के मंडोला में स्थित पावर ग्रिड में कल आग लगने से राष्ट्रीय राजधानी दिल्ली के कई इलाकों में भारी बिजली कटौती की गई। पावर ग्रिड कॉरपोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया लिमिटेड- पी.जी.सी.आई.एल. शहर को एक हजार पांच सौ मेगा वाट बिजली की आपूर्ति करता है। दिल्ली की बिजली मंत्री आतिशी ने कहा कि बिजली बहाली की प्रक्रिया शुरू हो गई है और अब धीरे-धीरे राष्ट्रीय राजधानी के विभिन्न इलाकों में इसकी आपूर्ति की जा रही है। एक सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट में आतिशी ने कहा कि वह केंद्रीय बिजली मंत्री मनोहर लाल और पी.जी.सी.आई.एल. के चेयरमैन से बात करेंगी, ताकि यह सुनिश्चित किया जा सके कि ऐसी स्थिति दोबारा न उत्पन्न हो।

दिल्ली की राजस्व मंत्री आतिशी ने कल सभी ज़िलाधिकारियों और विभाग के उच्चाधिकारियों के साथ कांवड़ शिविर की तैयारियों को लेकर समीक्षा बैठक की। बैठक के बाद सुश्री आतिशी ने बताया कि अगले महीने की 22 तारीख से शुरू होने वाली कांवड यात्रा के लिए दिल्ली सरकार ने पहले से ही तैयारी शुरू कर दी है ताकि कांवडियों को किसी प्रकार की परेशानी का सामना न पडे। उन्होंने कहा कि दिल्ली सरकार कांवड़ियों की सुविधा के लिए इस साल दिल्ली भर में लगभग 200 कांवड़ शिविर लगवायेगी।

मुंबई में अमेरिकी महावाणिज्य दूतावास, ने कोविड-19 महामारी के कारण बंद नियमित वीज़ा नियुक्तियाँ फिर से शुरू कर दी हैं। इसमें नई नियुक्तियों का शेड्यूल बनाना और 221(जी) सबमिशन स्वीकार करना शामिल है। नियुक्तियों की बहाली से अमेरिका के लिए वीज़ा में होने वाली देरी को कम करने में मदद मिलेगी।
अमेरिकी महावाणिज्य दूतावास मुंबई ने कहा कि कोविड-19 महामारी के दौरान वाणिज्य दूतावास बंद होने के कारण जिन सभी आवेदकों की नियुक्तियाँ रद्द कर दी गई थीं, उन्हें पुनर्निर्धारित करने के निर्देश भेजे गए हैं। इसमें कहा गया है कि इस कदम का उद्देश्य आवेदनों के बैकलॉग को संबोधित करना और कई व्यक्तियों की यात्रा योजनाओं को सुविधाजनक बनाना है, जिनकी नियुक्तियाँ महामारी के कारण बाधित हुई थीं।

आज पुण्यतिथि है पुरुषोत्तम लक्ष्मण देशपांडे की। ये एक लोकप्रिय मराठी लेखक, नाटककार, हास्यकार, अभिनेता, कथाकार व पटकथाकार, फिल्म निर्देशक, संगीतकार एवं गायक थे। ये दूरदर्शन की स्थापना के समय उसके साथ जुड़े रहे। इनका स्वाभाव हंसी-ठिठोली वाला था। इनके इसी स्वाभाव का इन्हें बड़ा फायदा मिला। सिनेमा में इनका यह व्यक्तित्व काफी काम आया और इसकी पूरी झलक इनके काम में देखने को मिली। साहित्य और कला जगत में अहम योगदान के लिए इन्हें 1990 में, पद्म भूषण, और 1966 में पद्मश्री से नवाज़ा गया तथा साथ ही इन्हें, साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार, संगीत नाटक अकादमी सम्मान, महाराष्ट्र भूषण सम्मान, कालिदास सम्मान आदि भी दिए गए।

ये अनाउंसमेंट सुन कर आपको अंदाज़ा हो गया होगा कि अब जिनकी बात हम करने वाले हैं, उनका देश की मैट्रो सेवा से कोई ना कोई संबंध होगा। असल में हम बात कर रहे हैं भारत के मैट्रो मैन कहे जाने वाले ई. श्रीधरन की, जिनका आज जन्मदिन है। ये भारत के प्रसिद्ध सिविल इंजीनियर हैं। कोंकण रेलवे और दिल्ली में मेट्रो रेल का श्रेय इन्हीं को जाता है। ये 1995 से 2012 तक दिल्ली मेट्रो के निदेशक रहे। इन्होंने कोच्ची, जयपुर और लखनऊ मेट्रो में भी अपनी सेवाएँ दी हैं। लखनऊ मेट्रो रेल के ये मुख्य सलाहकार हैं और देश में बनने वाली दूसरी मेट्रो रेल परियोजनाओं के साथ भी जुड़े हुए हैं। भारत सरकार ने इन्हें 2001 में ‘पद्म श्री’ तथा 2008 में ‘पद्म विभूषण’ से सम्मानित किया था।

आज ही पुण्यतिथि है सिंगिरेड्डी नारायण रेड्डी की भी। ये तेलुगु भाषा के प्रख्यात कवि थे, जिन्होंने पांच दशकों से भी अधिक समय तक काव्य रचना की। अब तक इनकी 40 से भी अधिक कृतियां प्रकाशित हो चुकी हैं, जिसमें कविता, गीत, संगीत, नाटक, नृत्य-नाट्य, निबंध, यात्रा संस्मरण, साहित्यालोचन तथा ग़ज़लें शामिल हैं। 1971 की, मुखामुखी, 1962 की मनिषि चिलक और 1963 की उदयं ना हृदयं इनके प्रमुख रचना संग्रह हैं। अपने जीवन काल में इन्हें,’ज्ञानपीठ पुरस्कार’, पद्म श्री’, और ‘पद्म भूषण’ से सम्मानित किया गया।

Today is the birth anniversary of Anne Frank, born in 1929 and died in 1945.
She was a German-born Jewish girl who kept a diary in which she documented life in hiding under Nazi persecution during the German occupation of the Netherlands. She is a celebrated diarist who described everyday life from her family’s hiding place in an Amsterdam attic. One of the most-discussed Jewish victims of the Holocaust, she gained fame posthumously with the 1947 publication of The Diary of a Young Girl (originally Het Achterhuis in Dutch, lit. ’the back house’; English: The Secret Annex), in which she documents her life in hiding from 1942 to 1944-it is one of the world’s best-known books and has been the basis for several plays and films.
Otto, the only survivor of the Frank family, returned to Amsterdam after the war to find that Anne’s diary had been saved by his female secretaries, Miep Gies and Bep Voskuijl. Having been moved by her repeated wishes to be an author, he published her diary in 1947. It was translated from its original Dutch version and first published in English in 1952 as The Diary of a Young Girl, and has since been translated into over 70 languages. आज गीतांजलि श्री का भी जन्मदिन है। ये हिन्दी की जानी मानी कथाकार और उपन्यासकार हैं। ये हिंदी की पहली ऐसी लेखिका हैं जिन्हें अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बुकर पुरस्कार मिला है। यह पुरस्कार इनके उपन्यास ‘रेत समाधि’ के अंग्रेज़ी अनुवाद ‘टोम्ब ऑफ़ सैंड’ के लिए 2022 में दिया गया था। पेश है उनकी किताब रेत समाधि का ये हिस्सा उन्ही की आवाज़ में।
