राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मु आज राष्ट्रपति भवन में 66 विशिष्ट लोगों को वर्ष 2026 के पद्म पुस्कार प्रदान करेंगी। समारोह में उपराष्ट्रपति सी. पी. राधाकृष्णन, प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी और गृहमंत्री अमित शाह भी उपस्थित रहेंगे।

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) extended the last date for obtaining scanned photocopies of answer books for Class 12 board examinations by one more day, until today. CBSE said that the decision was taken to provide adequate time to students for submitting requests. The Board advised candidates to avail of this extended timeline and submit their applications accordingly.

राष्ट्रीय परीक्षा एजेंसी- एनटीए ने इस महीने की 28 तारीख को होने वाली संयुक्त विश्वविद्यालय प्रवेश परीक्षा-सीयूइटी-यूजी 2026 की तिथि आगे बढ़ा दी है। एनटीए ने कहा कि सरकारी अधिसूचना के अनुसार इद-उल-अजहा-बकरीद की तिथि में बदलाव को देखते हुए यह निर्णय लिया गया है। संशोधित परीक्षा तिथि की सूचना जल्दी ही दी जाएगी।

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has directed teams of professors and technical experts from Indian Institute of Technology Madras and Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur to assist the Central Board of Secondary Education in ensuring a glitch-free re-evaluation process. The move comes after students and parents raised concerns over technical issues on the CBSE post-result services portal. The Education Minister also spoke with Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman regarding payment and technical problems faced by students during the re-evaluation process. Following the discussion, it was decided that State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank and Indian Bank will help CBSE strengthen its payment gateway and improve integration with the post-examination services portal.

The Construction of a new bridge across the Adyar River connecting two parts of the Officers Training Academy campus is 80 percent complete. The Water Resources Department said the high-level RCC bridge will replace the existing causeway, which was blamed for obstructing the natural flow of the river and worsening floods near Chennai Airport during the northeast monsoon.

CISF personnel from the Rajaditya Chola Regional Training Center in Thakkolam, along with the Sports Authority of India, Chennai, organised a “Sundays on Cycle” programme yesterday under the Fit India Movement. Local residents also joined the programme enthusiastically, making the event a success.

Karnataka Minister for Forest and Environment Eeshwar B Khandre has said that Karnataka had a social revolution for creating a just and egalitarian society. He was speaking at the Yuga Mahotsav of Jagadguru Renukacharya and Basava Jayanti organised by the Veerashaiva Mahasabha in Bengaluru yesterday. The minister noted that social reformer Basavanna strived to create caste free, gender bias free equal society in the 12th Century. He fostered to establish a social framework that was based on spiritual ethos, liberated from all social ills like untouchability. The minister noted that the youth must inculcate the philosophy of Lord Basaveshwara and work for social equality by opposing all discriminations based on caste and gender.

मुंबई और आसपास के इलाकों में कल मानसून से पहले की बारिश हुई, जिससे गर्मी और उमस से राहत मिली। ठाणे, मीरा भायंदर, माहिम, मुलुंड और भांडुप में बारिश दर्ज की गई। मौसम विभाग ने अगले कुछ दिनों में मुंबई में आंशिक रूप से बादल छाए रहने और रुक-रुक कर बारिश और गरज के साथ बौछारें पड़ने का पूर्वानुमान लगाया है। रत्नागिरी और सिंधुदुर्ग जिलों के लिए भी आंधी-तूफान और तेज हवाओं की पीली चेतावनी जारी की गई है।

Telangana government has launched a massive ten-day paddy procurement drive to ensure farmers can sell their produce without delay. The state Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy called it a war-like special operation. The state expects paddy arrivals to touch 75 lakh metric tonnes.
Telangana recorded a record paddy production of 140.81 lakh metric tonnes this season from 65.91 lakh acres. The government has already released Rs 8,749 crore as minimum support price payments to farmers.
As of May 23, around 58.79 lakh metric tonnes of paddy had arrived at procurement centres, out of which 50.01 lakh metric tonnes has already been purchased. Officials said the remaining 8.78 lakh metric tonnes will be cleared within 72 hours.
The minister directed officials to purchase even rain-damaged paddy to protect farmers from losses caused by bad weather.

गृह और पर्वतीय मामलों के विभाग की आधिकारिक सूचना के अनुसार सभी जिलों को देश में अवैध रूप से रह रहे व्यक्तियों, कारावास की सजा पूरी कर चुके और निर्वासन की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे लोगों को वापस भेजने के लिए उचित कदम उठाने के निर्देश दिए हैं। निर्देश में अधिकारियों को भारत में अवैध रूप से रह रहे बांग्लादेशी नागरिकों और रोहिंग्याओं के निर्वासन और स्वदेश वापसी प्रक्रियाओं के संबंध में गृह मंत्रालय के निर्देश के अनुसार कार्य करने का निर्देश दिया गया है।

इसके अलावा, कोलकाता में आसमान आंशिक रूप से बादलों से घिरा रहेगा और बिजली कड़कने की संभावना है। आज का न्यूनतम तापमान 29 और अधिकतम तापमान 37 डिग्री सेल्सियस के आस-पास रहेगा।

भारतीय सिनेमा में एक ऐसे अभिनेता थे जिनको पर्दे पर देख एक आम हिन्दुस्तानी अपनी ज़िंदगी की झलक देखता था। सुनील दत्त की पहली फ़िल्म ‘रेलवे प्लेटफॉर्म’ 1955 में प्रदर्शित हुई, जिसमें उन्होंने अभिनेता के रूप में कार्य किया। अपनी पहली फ़िल्म से उन्हें कुछ ख़ास पहचान नहीं मिली। उन्होंने इस फ़िल्म के बाद ‘कुंदन’, ‘राजधानी’, ‘किस्मत का खेल’ और ‘पायल’ जैसी कई छोटी फ़िल्मों में अभिनय किया, लेकिन इनमें से उनकी कोई भी फ़िल्म सफल नहीं हुई।

लक्ष्मीकांत का जन्म 3 नवंबर, 1937 में हुआ था। नौ वर्ष की छोटी-सी उम्र में ही उनके पिता का निधन हो गया, जिसके कारण उन्हें बीच में ही अपनी पढ़ाई छोड़ देनी पड़ी। बचपन के दिनों से ही लक्ष्मीकांत का रुझान संगीत की ओर था और वह संगीतकार बनना चाहते थे।
